Mermet USA Expands Line of GreenScreen Revive® Performance FabricsCOWPENS, S.C.
High Demand, Increased Interest in Fabric Enables Expanded Color Palette
In response to increasing demand for its GreenScreen Revive® fabrics, Mermet USA has announced the addition of two new color options to the product portfolio. Developed based on market trends and feedback, the two new colors, Pewter and Onyx, are part of Mermet’s ongoing effort to offer designers even more flexibility when specifying sustainable fabrics for roller shades.
“Architects and designers do not want to sacrifice performance for aesthetics,” said Jules Duguay, General Manager for Mermet Corp. “By expanding the number of colors available in our GreenScreen Revive® collection to nine, Mermet can deliver a high-performing, sustainable fabric that will enhance the beauty of a space. The new fabric colors not only address market needs, but also strengthen the aesthetic capabilities of the industry’s most sustainable roller shade fabric.”
GreenScreen Revive® is made of 100% PVC-free polyester and contains a minimum of 89% Repreve® fibers. These fibers are made from 100% recycled materials, a combination of post-industrial and post-consumer plastic waste. In comparison to virgin polyester, Repreve® reduces energy consumption by over 6%, water consumption by nearly 50%, and greenhouse gas emissions by over 34%.
Offered for both manual and automated window shading solutions, GreenScreen Revive® fabrics are fire retardant (NFPA 701, CSFM Title 19) and provide excellent solar control capabilities. Manufactured in the U.S. and now featured in nine colors, these specialty fabrics work to reduce glare and reflect light while allowing clean outward visibility.
Available in 1% and 5% openness, GreenScreen Revive® is Cradle to Cradle CertifiedCM and GREENGUARD Goldcertified, has been tested to meet globally recognized performance standards, and is RoHS Compliant.
