Mermet USA Rejuvenates Popular E ScreenTM Fabric with Modern Color Palette

COWPENS, S.C.
October 30, 2017

Mermet USA, the global leader in Sun Control Textiles™, today announced it has enhanced its E Screen™ color line with a streamlined, modern color palette. Ideal for virtually any application, E Screen™ is a flagship Mermet product known for its simple design, proportional 2x2 basket weave, and overall performance.

The enriched E Screen™ color line features eleven colors: Charcoal/Charcoal, Charcoal/Cocoa, Charcoal/Apricot, Charcoal/Grey, Charcoal/Grey-Stone, Pearl/Grey, Pearl/Pearl, Pearl/Linen, White/Linen, White/Pearl, and White/White.

E Screen™ delivers the complete solar control package: maximum transparency with excellent thermal and visual comfort. The modernized color palette provides clean aesthetics with an emphasis on classic and sophisticated pearl and grey color combinations. E Screen contributes towards improved light control, energy efficiency, and UV resistance with blockage ranges from approximately 90% to 99%. For commercial applications, the fabric also provides efficient acoustic control (in 1% openness) and serves as an excellent printing medium for promotional signage.

“A large part of Mermet’s product evaluation efforts this year have centered upon enhancing our key product lines whether to improve performance or restructure color palettes,” said Ali Fisher, product manager for Mermet USA. “Supporting the addition of an elevated E Screen™ product line was a key step forward in Mermet’s continuous efforts to providing superior shading solutions to our customers.”

The fabric is available in four openness factors – 1%, 3%, 5%, and 10% – and widths of 78", 98", and 122".  Comprised of fiberglass and vinyl for exceptional durability and performance, E Screen™ is tested to meet fire classifications NFPA 701-99 TM#1, California U.S. Title 19, and CAN/ULC-S109-03 Small & Large Flame Test. The fabric is also bacterial and fungal resistant, GREENGUARD Gold certified, and RoHS compliant.
